Virtual Drive of California is a state approved, online California driver education course for teens between 15½ and 17½ years of age. Our online drivers ed course consists of 30 hours of online classroom training in small modules that offers teens and parents the flexibility to complete their class requirements online, at their own pace.
Upon completion of the online classroom course, students receive their OL-237 certificate and can choose a local driver training program to complete their six hours of in-car training with a state certified instructor.

Complete the thirty hours of online driver education classes which prepares students for the DMV written test.
Complete a six hour behind-the-wheel driver training program with an approved local driver education school of your choice.
Complete 50 hours of practice driving with a licensed adult over 25. Minimum 10 hours must be at night.
Student must complete all other requirements above and have held their provisional permit for at least six months.
After completing all other requirements, being at least 16 years of age, apply for a California provisional drivers license.
