California Driver Education
Over the next few minutes I'm going to share with you a remarkable new way that you can take a California Driver Education course in the comfort of your home and is approved by the California Department of Motor Vehicles!
Parents, remember back when you were in high school and started driving? That feeling of responsibility, freedom, the idea of becoming an adult? A time when we could hang out with friends, get a job, have some independence, drive ourselves to school. While times have certainly changed since the eighties, these are still priorities for teens and like us, they are ready to demonstrate their responsibility to us. They want the same things we had back then.
If you were like me, and grew up in a rural area, you probably started driving at an early age. I still remember the day I first drove a car. We were out on an old country road and my Dad pulled over and said "hop in the front seat son, it's time you started to learn to drive." Those sure were the good ol' days!
Back then, there were not many options to get a California drivers license. We could study the drivers manual from the DMV and worry about passing the drivers exam. If you were lucky, you could enroll in a drivers ed class at school. Believe it or not, more than 50% of teens do not pass the written test on the first try. In a few minutes, you are going to learn why this is so important.
California Driver Education Course
Today, there are choices for taking a California driver education course. Wouldn't it be amazing if you could enroll your teen in an online driver education course, that is approved by the California DMV that offers you the opportunity to teach your teen how to drive?
STOP! Review these questions and ask yourself how important these are:
- If I enroll my teen in a standard driver education course, how can I be assured of the quality of the training?
- Should I trust someone else to teach my teen how to drive?
- Can I afford to take time off from work every day to get them to class, or would it be better if I could spend time with our teen after work and on the weekends?
- Can I receive an insurance discount for completing a State Approved California Drivers Ed course?
- Will my teen be safer on the road with my guidance, or with someone elses?
- What if my teen could be safer and we could save money at the same time?
- If I had the option, would I be a part of my teen's driving success, or do I give this important responsibility to someone I don't know?
You can never really be assured of the quality of training someone else will provide your teen, until it's too late. Of course, if you are involved, you will know for sure.
One of the biggest challenges parents face, is taking time off from work to get their teen to a California drivers education school. However, if you enroll in our online parent taught course, this is no longer an issue. You can work with your teen when you get home from work and on the weekends. You have complete control of your schedule and time!
Completing a State approved driver education course like ours will qualify you for an insurance discount. This discount can add up to thousands of dollars in savings every year!
Most parents want to be involved in helping their teen to learn how to drive and rightfully so! After all, you have years of driving experience and I'll bet anything that you are probably passionate about certain driving skills you want to pass along. Many parents are simply not aware that they have the option to teach their teen.
Online California Drivers Education
You're probably wondering, "can I really do this?" Absolutely! "Do I have the time for this?" You bet, there is no time schedule, the course is completed in your own time at your own pace and YES, this course (course DMV OL - #4390) is approved by the California Department of Motor Vehicles!
Teens may enroll in our online course at age 15, however, they will not be eligible for their California Learners Permit until 15½. Once the classroom (online) portion of the training is complete and your teen is at least 15½, they will receive their California DMV Driver Education Certificate and can apply for their learners permit.
After completing the parent taught behind the wheel training, the final step is to enroll in a six hour "behind the wheel" driver education class with an approved driver education instructor. This can usually be accomplished in one or two days and it's a final check to ensure your teen is ready for their California drivers license.
I want to share some remarkable results from a recent survey we commissioned from a University to see how graduates from our course perform after completing our course. Here are some amazing facts discovered by the survey:
- 91% of teens who completed our course passed their learners permit exam on the first try.
- 90% of teens who completed this course did not receive a speeding ticket during their first year of driving.
- 98% of teens who completed this course did not receive a stop sign or traffic signal violation during their first year of driving.
- 98% of teens who completed this course were not ticketed for driving under the influence during the first year.
- 99% of teens who completed our course did not have an accident that resulted in an injury during the first year.
If you remember earlier, I quoted the California DMV website that noted over 50% of teens fail the written driver exam on the first try. Yet with our course, 91% of teens passed the written exam on the FIRST try!
The results are absolutely incredible and attest to the time and quality we've put into the course, to ensure your teen has the best possible driver education training available.
